Crypto exchange Bitget has announced a new infrastructure partnership with Yuma aimed at scaling global access to staking on Bittensor.
Under the agreement, Yuma will act as Bitget’s validator service provider for TAO staking, strengthening the infrastructure that supports user participation in the decentralized AI network.
Yuma operates institutional-grade infrastructure for the Bittensor network. Through this arrangement, Bitget users can stake TAO without managing validator nodes directly, abstracting the technical requirements typically associated with onchain participation.
Building on Early TAO Adoption
Bitget was among the first centralized exchanges to introduce staking for TAO in 2025, offering exchange-based access to Bittensor at a time when decentralized AI networks were beginning to attract broader attention.
“Bitget introduced TAO staking early to give users direct access to the Bittensor ecosystem as it emerged,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “Working with Yuma strengthens the infrastructure behind that access, allowing TAO participation to scale in a way that remains reliable and easy to use.”
The new partnership shifts focus from access to scale. By integrating Yuma’s non-custodial validator services, Bitget aims to improve operational consistency and expand staking capacity for its global user base.
Infrastructure as a Competitive Edge
For exchanges, offering staking access can serve as both a user retention tool and an entry point into emerging sectors such as AI-focused blockchains. By combining Bitget’s distribution reach with Yuma’s infrastructure specialization, the partnership reinforces the growing convergence between centralized platforms and decentralized blockchain rails.
Bitget’s “Universal Exchange” (UEX) framework combines spot trading, derivatives, tokenized traditional assets, and yield products within a single account structure. Expanding validator partnerships allows the platform to integrate networks like Bittensor more seamlessly into that ecosystem.
Evan Malanga, CRO of Yuma, said the partnership extends institutional-grade infrastructure to a global audience. “Partnering with Bitget expands TAO access to millions of users through a platform that already operates at scale,” he said.
