[SpaceXAI](https://x.ai/?ref=tao.media) has launched [Team Bots](https://x.ai/news/team-bots?ref=tao.media), a public beta for shared Grok Bots that teams can configure around specific roles, workflows, and internal knowledge.

Team Bots are AI coworkers that can learn from a team over time, work across applications, and operate in Slack or Grok Bot; the feature is available on Teams and Enterprise plans.

## How Team Bots Work

Team Bots extends Grok Bot from an individual AI teammate into a shared organizational agent. Instead of each employee building a separate assistant for the same workflow, a team can create one Bot with common instructions, documents, connected tools, credentials, and memories, then let people use it individually or collaborate with it in Slack.

Each Team Bot is organized around four building blocks. Context covers the files, instructions, skills, brand guides, and internal documentation that define the Bot's role. Plugins connect it to applications such as Salesforce, Notion, and GitHub, and can be set up by individuals or configured for an entire team. Credentials let it reach third-party APIs that do not have a dedicated plugin. Memories let it retain what it learns and get better at its role over time.

The Bot itself is shared, but individual conversations stay private. Each user keeps separate context and memories while drawing on the team-level skills and knowledge attached to the Bot.

Shared context gives teams a common operating layer, while private interactions let employees ask role-specific questions, prepare drafts, test ideas, or review work without turning every exchange into a channel discussion.

Team Bots also have Slack handles. Teams can invite a Bot into a channel, ask shared questions, give it more context, and see its responses alongside everyone else's. In Slack, the whole team works with the Bot in the same place they already talk.

## SpaceXAI Is Using Team Bots Across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Data

SpaceXAI said it already uses Team Bots internally for account-team briefings, engineering coordination, data questions, customer-feedback triage, and hiring loops.

In sales and customer success, the company said each major account can have a dedicated Team Bot shared by the account executive, customer success manager, solutions architect, and sales leader. The Bot reviews company news, Gong calls, Notion documents, and Slack threads overnight, then posts a weekday morning brief with account updates and role-specific next steps.

The model turns the Bot into a persistent account memory. As people join or leave an account team, the Bot can help preserve context, surface past decisions, and draft follow-up actions based on accumulated knowledge.

SpaceXAI also cited Harper, an insurance company serving small businesses, as an external Team Bots customer. Harper CEO Dakotah Rice said the company built a Team Bot in 24 hours to help identify customers with lapsed policies and automate reinstatement outreach after previously checking customers manually across three platforms.

> "We initially had to manually check every customer through three platforms, get their balance details, and send them personalized emails. We built a Team Bot in 24 hours to automate this, saving our customers over $120,000 from hundreds of policies. This is now an ongoing engine for us, saving us time and our customers' money."

For product and engineering teams, SpaceXAI said its Engineering Team Bot works from a project Slack channel and connects to Notion, Linear, Hex, Datadog, and Cursor. The Bot can follow product decisions, triage bugs, create tickets, and launch Cloud Agents for defined fixes. The company said a five-person team used the setup while building Team Bots and shipped more than 100 pull requests per day.

Marketing teams can use Team Bots for brand and voice review. SpaceXAI said its Marketing Bot reviews drafts in Slack against brand guidelines, blog posts, and current messaging, then can carry approved website and SEO changes through preview and sign-off. Amplitude Head of Marketing Angela Ferrante said the company is building toward Team Bots for every marketing function.

In data analytics, SpaceXAI described a Data Bot that uses shared, read-only Databricks credentials and connects to Datadog, Hex, and Statsig. The company said its analytics team added a skills library covering more than 45,000 tables, allowing the Bot to answer one-off data questions, investigate product usage, and remember query corrections so later answers improve.

## Shared Institutional Context

The Team Bots launch is part of the shift we’re seeing towards enterprise AI products. Yesterday, Meta also announced an institutional offering in its “Meta Enterprise Platform.”

[Meta Launches Enterprise Platform, Names Former MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to LeadZuckerberg calls the enterprise push Meta's next major business pillar and says the company will bring Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code to businesses and developers.tao.media![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/78/0b/780ba906-b1a7-4bf0-873c-bdd5c32e5331/content/images/2026/09/meta-enterprise-hero.png)](https://www.tao.media/meta-launches-enterprise-platform-names-former-mongodb-ceo-cj-desai-to-lead/)

A big focus of the movement is turning fragmented, personal AI assistants into role-based agents that sit inside team workflows.

A personal AI assistant helps one employee search, draft, and summarize. A shared Team Bot, by contrast, carries institutional context, connects to the tools a team already uses, and remembers decisions across a workflow, which makes it closer to an operating layer for recurring work than a general chatbot.

Many enterprise workflows already happen in Slack channels. Because each Team Bot has its own handle, teams can consult it in the same place where they discuss accounts, product launches, bugs, marketing approvals, and analytics requests.

Enterprise agent platforms are also starting to bundle context, software access, secure credentials, and memory into one managed object. Those pieces are hard to run separately. Together, they let a company define a repeatable role, decide which data and tools it can access, and let employees work with the same AI teammate across different surfaces.

Team Bots are now in public beta for Teams and Enterprise customers. SpaceXAI is offering pre-built Bots for sales, product management, marketing, and data analytics, giving teams templates for common workflows before they build more specialized versions of their own.
