# TAO Arrives on Base Through Chainlink CCIP

Bittensor has expanded onto [Base](https://x.com/Base?ref=tao.media), with ForeverMoney [announcing the new route for TAO](https://x.com/forevermoney%5Fai/status/2090469070248235027?s=20&ref=tao.media) to move between Bittensor and Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network through Chainlink CCIP.

The rollout brings TAO into Base’s DeFi market and makes the newly-launched [TAO-USDC pool on Aerodrome](https://x.com/AerodromeFi/status/2090471056620614130?s=20&ref=tao.media) eligible to receive AERO emissions, giving liquidity providers another reason to deposit capital into the pool.

Chainlink CCIP serves as the cross-chain messaging and transfer layer connecting the two environments, creating a path for TAO to appear in Base applications where users can swap against USDC, route trades, or supply liquidity.

As we've continued to see this year with updates such as the [subnet listings on Kraken](https://www.tao.media/kraken-adds-bittensor-subnet-tokens-to-exchange-listings-roadmap/), Bittensor assets are gradually becoming more accessible to infrastructure outside the core network. 

This time, TAO gets a route into one of crypto’s most active ecosystems.
