Cacheon Mainnet Goes Live on Bittensor With $10,000/Day Inference Competition

Cacheon mainnet is now live on Bittensor Subnet 14, launching a decentralized AI inference competition where optimized servers compete for up to $10,000 per day.

Cacheon has officially launched its mainnet on Bittensor, opening live competition for AI inference optimization through a decentralized marketplace of competing servers.

Announced Tuesday, the launch brings 13 inference servers into active competition, with each submission benchmarked against a baseline system running on dedicated 8x H200 GPU pods. The highest-performing server can earn up to $10,000 per day.

“13 inference servers queued, each racing to beat our baseline on a dedicated 8x H200 pod,” Cacheon wrote in its launch announcement. “The winner earns up to $10,000/day.”

The launch marks the beginning of live economic incentives for what Cacheon describes as an open competition to improve how large language models are served in production environments. Rather than training better models, the subnet focuses on inference optimization, the process of making models faster, cheaper, and more efficient to run.

The problem Cacheon is attempting to solve has become increasingly important as model intelligence converges and inference costs grow into a larger bottleneck across AI deployment. Every chatbot response, autonomous agent action, or enterprise AI workflow depends on infrastructure capable of serving tokens quickly and reliably at scale.

By creating financial incentives around optimization, Cacheon aims to surface better inference techniques in an open environment rather than relying on a single centralized engineering team.

Cacheon Launches on Bittensor to Turn AI Inference Optimization Into an Open Competition
Bittensor Subnet 14 launches Cacheon, a decentralized AI inference competition focused on faster LLM serving, lower latency, and reduced cost per token ahead of its May 19 mainnet launch.

Following the mainnet launch, users can monitor live competition activity through Cacheon’s dashboard, where inference servers compete in real time to outperform baseline performance across dedicated hardware environments.
