Coco Robotics and Deliveroo have announced an exclusive UK partnership to bring sidewalk robot deliveries to towns and cities across the country, starting with London’s Canary Wharf in October.
The rollout is Coco’s UK debut and Deliveroo’s first use of autonomous delivery vehicles in the country. Deliveroo, which is part of DoorDash’s global portfolio, said the partnership will begin in Canary Wharf before expanding to Milton Keynes, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, and Nottingham in the coming weeks and months.
The first UK deployment will begin in Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf, where Deliveroo customers will initially be able to order from Patty&Bun, bakery Signorelli, and cafe and restaurant Beam. Coco and Deliveroo said the service area is expected to expand later to include merchants such as Ole & Steen, Royal China, and Din Tai Fung.
Milton Keynes is also part of the early rollout plan, with Smoke and Pepper named among the merchants expected to use the service there. Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, and Nottingham are scheduled to follow as Coco expands the UK launch beyond London.
The companies did not disclose fleet size, expected delivery volumes, or pricing details. Coco said it is also in discussions with other councils across London and the wider UK, so the rollout may extend beyond the cities already named in the announcement.
The launch will be supported by local investment in UK operational infrastructure, including new depot and charging facilities. The company also said the expansion will create skilled jobs in operations, maintenance, and logistics across each region.
