Score Rebalances Bittensor SN44 Emissions to 44% Each for Miners and Validators

The computer-vision subnet lowers its owner allocation to 12% and says it has completed an owner-wallet conviction lock.

Score has lowered the owner allocation of Bittensor Subnet 44 emissions to 12%, directing 44% each to miners and validators. The computer-vision project confirmed the change and said it had completed an owner-wallet conviction lock, following its "Forever Forty-Four" announcement two days earlier.

The new allocation shifts six percentage points away from the owner compared with the previous 18% owner, 41% validator, and 41% miner split. Miners and validators each gain three percentage points, giving both groups a larger share of the subnet's token rewards.

The adjustment uses Bittensor's Etao emission controls, which let eligible subnet owners change how alpha-token emissions are divided among participants. Miners supply the subnet's work, while validators evaluate that work. The validator allocation also funds rewards for stakers, including root TAO stakers.

This reallocates rewards within SN44 rather than increasing the total emissions it receives. Under Etao's allocation rules, owners generally can change their split once every 50,400 blocks, or approximately seven days.

Score's original announcement also committed to "convicting 44% of the owner's wallet." The team says that action is complete. Bittensor's conviction-locking mechanism lets holders lock alpha stake, building a time-weighted commitment toward a chosen hotkey. Locked alpha remains staked and continues earning rewards, but the locked amount cannot be freely unstaked.

SN44 supports specialized computer-vision models. Its Score Studio platform gives builders a workspace for visual data, annotation, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

Score also teased a third action in the original announcement. In its follow-up, the team said it "can happen anytime.”
