TAO Synergies Inc. has appointed Bittensor investor, author, and Hash Rate host Mark Jeffrey as an advisor as the company looks to expand beyond TAO accumulation into subnet investing and decentralized AI application development.

The company, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker TAOX, is the largest publicly traded holder of TAO globally. The firm said Jeffrey will advise on Bittensor ecosystem strategy, subnet evaluation and investment, and decentralized AI application development.

Jeffrey is a partner at Stillcore Capital, a hedge fund focused on Bittensor, subnet alpha tokens, and decentralized AI opportunities. He is also the author of Bitcoin Explained Simply and The Case for Bitcoin, and hosts Hash Rate, a research-focused podcast covering Bittensor, decentralized AI, and crypto. No one would contest that he's one of the foremost thought leaders in the Bittensor ecosystem today.

The appointment comes as TAO Synergies tries to position itself as more than a TAO treasury company. In the announcement, Josh Silverman, executive chairman of TAO Synergies, said the company wants advisors with direct experience in Bittensor’s underlying mechanics as it expands from holding TAO into subnet investing and decentralized AI applications.

Jeffrey noted the important position TAO Synergies holds in the ecosystem today, pointing out that it's "one of the only ways public market investors can get real exposure to decentralized AI." He also expressed his excitement, saying, "The team actually understands the protocol mechanics, not just the ticker. I'm excited to help them build."
