Pylon Partners has acquired Bittensor Subnet 112 and relaunched the slot as THOR Group, a robotics institute focused on data, software, and hardware for physical AI.
The move changes the direction of SN112 from Minotaur, which was a DeFi-intent and cross-chain DEX aggregator subnet. THOR's mission is to build an open network for physical intelligence; its first product focus is THOR Data, which routes data-collection and annotation work from robotics labs to distributed contributors.
The product centers on a common bottleneck in robotics. LLMs can be trained on large bodies of existing text, code, and media from the internet. Robots need a different kind of data: demonstrations, teleoperation sessions, first-person task recordings, simulation traces, proprioceptive signals, contact events, error labels, and human verification.
The goal is to create a workflow in which customers define the data they need, contributors compete to produce it, validators check whether the output meets the specification, and accepted data is delivered back to the customer. In that model, Bittensor's incentive layer coordinates labor, verification, and rewards around robotics data production.
Jack Ai-Leung, managing partner of Pylon Partners, said THOR will begin with human demonstration and simulation data, then expand into models, hardware, and industry pilots.

Pylon Panthers' acquisition puts another subnet into its sphere of influence. Earlier this year, Ai-Leung launch UR on SN25, bringing 350,000 users to Bittensor.
