TAO Synergies, the largest publicly traded holder of TAO and among the top 20 TAO holders globally, announced it is set to join the Russell Microcap® Index as part of the 2026 Russell Reconstitution, a milestone that will help drive increased institutional visibility for the broader Bittensor ecosystem.

The company, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker TAOX, is the first publicly traded company focused exclusively on opportunities across decentralized AI and the Bittensor network. TAO Synergies' strategy extends beyond simply holding TAO. The company also invests in Bittensor subnets, develops its own subnet infrastructure, builds decentralized AI applications, and pursues other opportunities throughout the decentralized AI ecosystem.

"Joining the Russell Microcap Index is a significant milestone that reflects TAO Synergies' growth and rising profile in the public markets," Executive Chairman Joshua Silverman said in the announcement.

While direct ownership of TAO remains limited to cryptocurrency markets, companies such as TAO Synergies offer traditional equity investors a regulated vehicle for gaining exposure to the network through publicly traded shares. Index inclusion could further broaden awareness of Bittensor among investors who may not otherwise interact with digital assets directly.

The 2026 Russell Reconstitution is scheduled to become final after the close of U.S. markets on June 26, with the newly reconstituted indexes taking effect on June 29. Inclusion remains subject to FTSE Russell's final determination.
