Verathos, the verified AI inference network on Bittensor's Subnet 96, has introduced Conviction Allowance, a new feature that gives SN96 Alpha holders daily usage credits when they lock their Alpha.
This feature is the first of its kind, enabling users to turn "alpha conviction into daily inference credit."
Now, instead of holding Alpha only as a liquid position or staking-related asset, Verathos users can lock it and receive inference credit for as long as the lock remains active. That credit applies across Verathos' model lineup, which is as a network of frontier and open models accessible through an OpenAI-compatible API.

The platform's broader pitch is verified AI inference, where responses can carry cryptographic receipt metadata and miners are scored through verification-based mechanisms rather than only trust or reputation.
Also interesting here is that ownership of the alpha token can now directly encourage increased usage of Verathos, which, in turn, grows Verathos and the alpha token. If this flywheel generates meaningful results in token performance, we should expect other subnets to implement their own versions.
Conviction Allowance does not work like a fixed grant. According to Verathos, the exact credit amount moves with Alpha's price, making it more of a usage floor than a guaranteed payout.
There is no minimum commitment period, and users can unlock whenever they want. Credits begin showing after the lock is confirmed onchain.
