Targon today reported burning SN4 alpha tokens worth a combined 8,450 TAO, or approximately $2.1 million, tying both portions of the burn to revenue from its compute platform.
The total includes a newly completed buyback and burn of 1,772 TAO worth of SN4 alpha, valued by Targon at about $445,000. The team said it funded those purchases with organic revenus. It also reported burning another 6,678 TAO worth of SN4 alpha, approximately $1.7 million, which it said likewise represents revenue generated through Targon.
Note: The assets burned were SN4 alpha tokens, not TAO itself. Alpha is the subnet-specific token associated with SN4; the TAO figures express the value of the alpha involved.
Targon’s dollar estimates put the two portions at roughly $2.145 million combined.
Targon’s cloud offers on-demand GPU virtual machines and bare-metal servers for AI training and inference, alongside isolated sandboxes for code and agents. Customers can also reserve GPU capacity for a fixed term. Confidential virtual machines use Intel TDX hardware isolation and support encrypted transfers to compatible NVIDIA GPUs.
The burn follows Targon’s opening of a public revenue dashboard. The team has earned approximately $720,000 in revenue over the past 30 days across 15,830 users.
